Who We Are
The Dignity Group is dedicated to helping families with Special Needs loved ones by empowering them to efficiently provide for their loved ones both now and in the future. Empowerment begins through education and free consultations to parents and families explaining the benefits and services available for people with Special Needs.
On Friday,September 30, 2016, Dignity Group will present its Annual JoAnn and James Jennings Memorial Golf Tournament. In an effort to raise funds to continue to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome and other Special Needs.
About Our Tournament
Joann Jennings, mother of James Jennings who had Down Syndrome, was an inspiration to Special Needs families throughout Southern California. She fought for inclusion in our schools, rights in our community and strength in our network. James, known as “James Bond,” had a larger than life personality and won the heart of perfect strangers with his ability to make friends in every social circle. Joann passed in 2006 and James passed in 2009. Through this tournament we are able to continue their legacy in the Special Needs Community.
How You Can Help
Proceeds raised from this most worthwhile event will be used to continue educational outreach into the community-at-large to families with Special Needs loved ones, providing free-of-cost consultations and peer mentoring; facilitation of skill building opportunities and informational seminars. Please take a moment to consider our sponsorship opportunities.Thank you in advance for making this the success our families and children are counting on.
